Arthur A. Johnson, Summer Opera by the North Shore Line
Reproduction of Original Vintage Poster for the North Shore Rail Line. This poster, designed by Arthur Johnson in 1925, depicts Giacomo Puccini's iconic opera "Madame Butterfly" and was created to promote the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad.
Often called the North Shore Line by encouraging travel to Ravinia - a beautiful outdoor concert venue located in Highland Park, Illinois. This rail line was one of the last interurban railways operating between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin until it went out of service in 1963.
