RAPHIE ETGAR 1992 "The Free Zone" by Jean Claude Grumberg a play in Jerusalem

A tattered French flag wrapped around the back of a head. The play is about: Following the German occupation of France, a Jewish family escapes from Paris, change names, flee to the South of France, and are given a single room to live in by a Christian farmer. The trials and tribulations of the family, including the worry over the birth of a child and the constant fear of discovery, ultimately end with France’s liberation. 

Grumberg was the winner of  winner of France's 1991 Molière award for Best Playwright.
