Summer Opera Ravinia Park Magnet

This magnet features an image by Arthur A. Johnson that was first published in 1925 of Giacomo Puccini's Madame Butterfly. Originally created to promote the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad--often called the North Shore Line this image encourages travel to Ravinia, the beautiful outdoor concert venue located in Highland Park Illinois.

This rail line was one of the last interurban railways operating between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin until it went out of service in 1963.
