View of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, ca. 1929

This rare and unusual original collotype of an aerial photo was taken over Amsterdam's Schiphol airport in May of 1929. It features a large crowd of people gathered to watch a flight of the Fokker PH-AEZ airplane. Many other aircraft are visible on the tarmac, including other Fokker airplanes and those of Royal Dutch Airlines, known by its initials KLM - Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij.
