This poster designed in 1925 by Paul Proehl is one in a series of transit posters promoting travel on the Illinois Central Railroad - dubbed "the road of travel luxury." The city of Chicago with its magnificent lakefront takes front stage along with a fashionable young woman perched high atop the skyscrapers: indeed "Chicago: Vacation City."
