Binder, New York World's Fair 1939

Reproduction of Original Vintage Poster for the 1939 New York Worlds Fair.

The New York World's Fair - Building The World of Tomorrow - opened in 1939, promoting one of the last great metanarratives of the Machine Age: the unqualified belief in science and technology as a means to economic prosperity and personal freedom.  'The World of Tomorrow' was a much-needed antidote to the hopelessness and confusion of the times: it provided hope. Originally published at the time, the stylized image on the poster represents that better world of tomorrow.
Size: 24 x 36 inches
