The Chap Book was a magazine published in Chicago, 1894-1898, dedicated to "all that is most modern and aggressive in the Young Man's literature" and introduced little known writers of the time, such as Yeats, Henry James, Ibsen, H. G. Wells, as well as the poetry of Stephen Crane, Verlaine and Rimbaud. This original poster from 1896 features two whimsical clowns.
