This beautifully printed silkscreen poster was published in 1968 using the Iannelli gouache of 1915. Iannelli (or as recent research suggests the designer was his wife, illustrator and artist Margaret Spalding), was commissioned by the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. These designs were produced for various vaudeville acts to be hung as lobby displays with photos attached in the blank spaces.
The designs reveal a sophistication and knowledge of the German avant garde of this period. Iannelli's son permitted the Chicago Architectural Foundation in 1968 to select 6 designs for publication and brought these treasures back to life!
