This is one of several powerful posters designed by Weimer Pursell for Chicago's World's Fair: Century of Progress. This poster depicts the Hall of Science at the fair as well as other areas. Pursell (1906-1974) was born in Tennessee and studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. He worked as an illustrator for Life & Esquire & designed posters for American Airlines, Coca Cola as well as five different 1933/34 World's Fair posters.
