Springtime Along the North Shore Line by Oscar Rabe Hanson - Numbered Limited Edition

Originally published in 1923, this reproduction of an original vintage poster by Oscar Rabe Hanson for the North Shore Line features the vibrant spring image of sheep grazing beneath a blossoming cherry tree. The tranquil beauty of the landscape along the line with its waterways, farms and majestic trees invites us to relax and enjoy a moment in nature.

This is one in a series of posters created by Oscar Rabe Hanson promoting travel along the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad, often called the North Shore Line. The Northshore Line was an interurban electric railroad line that operated between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the 1920s, 40 trains a day made this speedy journey.  The line went out of service in 1963.
